Oxford Used Bikes

Each year we offer the largest selection of used bikes for sale in Oxford, with stocks changing regularly. 

All of our used bikes have been fully serviced and are sold with a 3-month no nonsense warranty.

We can also guarantee the origin of all the used bikes we sell in Oxford. Firstly, we don’t buy used bikes from the public, instead we work with organisations such as Oxford City Council, Oxford Brookes University and Great Western Railway removing the abandoned bikes and recycling them.  This is important to ensure cycle parking is freely available for Oxford cyclists and help the environment by reducing land fill. 

Each organisation operates the removal of the Oxford abandoned bikes slightly differently, but the concept is the same. 

• Bikes are tagged – bikes deemed unfit to ride or that have not moved from the same location in a long while get tagged.
• Tagged bikes revisited – After 2 – 4 months bikes tagged are revisited, if they are still taking up the spaces on the cycle parking, they are removed. 
• Bikes stored – bikes are stored for around 3 months in a depot. 
• Bikes collected – bikes are collected by us and taken to one of our storage locations for further storage (normally 1 to 2 months

Sadly, we cannot recycle all of Oxfords used bikes, we can normally refurbish around 40% of the complete bikes (albeit changing worn out parts). The others that are too far gone are stripped for parts and used to help with training apprentice mechanics. Nothing goes to waste as the metal is collected and recycled.
